The Fruit of the Spirit Series, Part 4

Hi everyone. : ) We continue our Sunday verses series on the "fruit of the Spirit." (Gal. 5:22) This week we will see some of what the Bible says about patience.

(Eccl 7:8 NLT) Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.

(Rom 2:4 NLT) Don't you realize how kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Or don't you care? Can't you see how kind he has been in giving you time to turn from your sin?

(2 Cor 6:6 NLT) We have proved ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, our sincere love, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

(Eph 4:2 NLT) Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love.

(Col 1:11 NLT) We also pray that you will be strengthened with his glorious power so that you will have all the patience and endurance you need. May you be filled with joy

(Col 3:12 NLT) Since God chose you to be the holy people whom he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

(1 Tim 1:16 NLT) But that is why God had mercy on me, so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.

(2 Tim 4:2 NLT) Preach the word of God. Be persistent, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

(Heb 6:12 NLT) Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God's promises because of their faith and patience.

(1 Pet 2:20 NLT) Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing right and are patient beneath the blows, God is pleased with you.
