The Bible speaks of many names for our Lord. Today we will look at some of
those names.
(Isa 9:6 NASB) "For a child will be born to us, a son
will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His
name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince
of Peace."
(Mat 1:21 NASB) ""And she will bear a Son; and you shall
call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their
sins.""
(Mat 1:23 NASB) ""BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD,
AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL," which translated
means, "GOD WITH US.""
(Luke 2:11 NASB) "for today in the city of David there
has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."
(John 1:41 NASB) "He found first his own brother Simon,
and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which translated means
Christ)."
(Mat 9:6 NASB) ""But in order that you may know that the
Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"-- then He said to the
paralytic-- "Rise, take up your bed, and go home.""
(Mat 26:63-64 NASB) "But Jesus kept silent. And the high
priest said to Him, "I adjure You by the living God, that You tell us whether
You are the Christ, the Son of God." 64 Jesus said to him,
"You have said it yourself; nevertheless I tell you, hereafter you shall
see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING ON THE
CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.""
(Mat 22:42-44 NASB) "saying, "What do you think about
the Christ, whose son is He?" They said to Him, "The son of David."
43 He said to them, "Then how does David in the Spirit call
Him 'Lord,' saying, 44 'THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, "SIT AT
MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I PUT THINE ENEMIES BENEATH THY FEET"'?"
(Mat 1:1 NASB) "The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ,
the son of David, the son of Abraham."
(John 10:11-14 NASB) ""I am the good shepherd; the good
shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. 12 "He who is
a hireling, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, beholds
the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees, and the wolf snatches them,
and scatters them. 13 "He flees because he is a hireling,
and is not concerned about the sheep. 14 "I am the good shepherd;
and I know My own, and My own know Me,"
