Prayer -- it is something we should be doing every day, throughout the day.
Prayers of adoration, prayers of thanksgiving, prayers of intercession, prayers
pouring out our hearts, individual prayers, prayers with fellow church members.
Let's look at some of what the word has to say about prayer.
(Psa 8:1 NNAS) "O LORD, our Lord, How majestic is Your
name in all the earth, Who have displayed Your splendor above the heavens!"
(1 Th 5:17-18 NNAS) "pray without ceasing; 18
in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
(2 Th 1:11-12 NNAS) "To this end also we pray for you
always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every
desire for goodness and the work of faith with power, 12 so that
the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according
to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."
(2 Th 3:1-2 NNAS) "Finally, brethren, pray for us that
the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it did
also with you; 2 and that we will be rescued from perverse and
evil men; for not all have faith."
(Luke 6:28 NNAS) "bless those who curse you, pray for
those who mistreat you."
(Mark 11:24 NNAS) ""Therefore I say to you, all things
for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they
will be granted you."
(Psa 62:8 NNAS) "Trust in Him at all times, O people;
Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us."
