[CF Devotionals] 2020-03-16 - What to Think

- - - - - -

We aren't to be anxious about tomorrow and there is a lot to be anxious about! There is a list playing 24/7 in my mind of all the stuff to be done and things that could go wrong.

God has redeemed us. We will not fear. (Isaiah 43:1)

I don't believe God wants us to focus on the 'what ifs' and 'maybes' of life. What ifs are fine when deciphering math word problems, not in everyday life. Matthew 6:34 doesn't say life will be problem-free; it says not to focus on the problems and not to worry. God has/will have it covered. He will be with us, to handle any crisis or situation.

We don't receive a bondage to fear. When we cry out to God, He recognizes us as His children and as His children, we are heirs of God, joint heirs with Christ. (See Romans 8:16)

Lord, Worrying comes too easily for me. Please show me how to not let fear and anxiety take control. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
