[CF Devotionals] 2019-09-09 - Our Job Description

- - - - - - -

Paul saw himself as an ambassador in chains. (Ephesians 6:20) According to the dictionary, an ambassador is an official of the highest rank, who has a position of authority. Pretty difficult to carry out an important role, when we have limited mobility.

I believe we all have chains. They may not be as literal as Paul's, but something that wants to prevent us from moving forward and becoming successful. Chains can twist the truth and have us believe the worst about ourselves.

As Christ followers, we have to rise above the lies and take on our role as ambassadors for Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:20) This position has no paid vacation, but provides the benefit of helping your fellow man. There is no time for chains to hold us back.

Lord, Show me the way out
