2019-03-18 - New Possibilities
I dislike sunbathing. The last time I tried to get a tan, my legs came out a red, crisp color. I would rather walk the beach, searching for seashell and rock treasures.
The ocean is more than tan sand, blue folds of water, seagulls, and wind; it's always new. It doesn't remember if you lost a flip-flop, and is forgiving if you accidentally shook a towel too close to sunbathers on the shore.
Each new day offers spectacular hues and an empty canvas, void of footprints and sandcastles. Each new day is overflowing with possibilities. Scripture paints a picture of what our new day can be.
"Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,' to the one who seeks him;" (Lamentations 3:22-25 NIV)
