PC-USA 2018-09-11 - Happy Ending

- - - - - - -

As many of you know, in 2016, my husband Richard was suddenly stricken with the paralyzing illness called Guillain-Barre Syndrome. The good news is that he is 95% recovered, and is able to do 99% of his normal activities. As doctors and paramedics warned us on Day 1 that it would be, it was a rough year. BUT also from Day 1, we were blessed with accurate information about the eventual outcome. Consequently, we knew that while there was no guarantee on how long it would take, he would recover. From the beginning, we knew the ending.

It is like that for those of us who are Christians, too. We may not know what is ahead on Earth. We may go through painful, trying times as Christians, knowing neither how long the hard times will be endured, nor how bad things will become. Like heartbreaking incidents in which police officers are ambushed, we sometimes are caught unawares by what is around the next corner. But we definitely know the ending from the beginning. We know that if we have accepted Christ as our Savior, we will spend our post-Earth life in Heaven with Him.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

John 14:2 In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you
