2 Samuel 9:1-11

Why does human nature focus on the negative? When King David wanted to keep a promise to his best friend's son, servant Ziba gave the king a heads up about the son's appearance. Mephibosheth was handicap, this truth didn't sway King David from showing kindness to his BFF's son, Mephibosheth.

I'm grateful God also pursues us even though we aren't perfect. He knows all our flaws and capabilities. When we are tempted to point out flaws, ours or someone else's, let's try to focus on the positive things in life instead.

"I pray that God will make you ready to obey him and that you will always be eager to do right. May Jesus help you do what pleases God. To Jesus Christ be glory forever and ever! Amen." (Hebrews 13:21 CEV)
