2017-06-23 - Our Story
Originally Published 2009-07-31
We all know we should share our story, or testimony as it is often called
in religious circles, about how God transformed our life. But sometimes we
don't because we are afraid someone might ask us a question that we don't
know the answer to. Not knowing the answer to questions didn't stop the blind
man of John 9.
John 9:25 - He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner
or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I
see.
The Pharisees came at him with questions about Jesus and the man simply said,
"I don't know. The one thing I do know is that he changed
me. I was blind and now I see." That is all we need to know. Think
back on your own spiritual blindness. Think back on the moment you met Jesus
and he opened your eyes. Remember how great it was to see.
Now go share that story with others. The great news is that you don't have
to have a theology doctorate or even a high school diploma to do it. You
are the only authoritative expert on your life so you can share your own
story fearlessly and confidently as no one but you can.
