2016-03-28 - Happy Easter
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. (Matthew 27:5-6 NIV)
It's Easter. To some, it's an ordinary Sunday. For others, it's a day off from work. Some people use Easter as an excuse to purchase a new outfit or hat. A select few participate in colored egg hunts and eat lots of chocolate. Then there are the rest of us, who view Easter as a day to say thank you.
We say thank You to our Savior. Without His surrender, death, and return to Earth, we'd have no hope. Our existence has meaning, knowing we'll be with Jesus one day. We also thank our Savior's Father, for every time God sees us, even when we fail, He doesn't see our failings, He only sees the blood of Jesus, which makes us all clean as snow.
Lord, You make us glad. We are thankful. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
