2015-08-03 - What Would Paul Say?
I am amazed that you are turning away so soon, from God who, in his love and mercy, invited you to share the eternal life he gives through Christ; you are already following a different “way to heaven,” which really doesn’t go to heaven at all. For there is no other way than the one we showed you; you are being fooled by those who twist and change the truth concerning Christ. (Galatians 1:6-7 TLB)
As a bondservant for Christ, I spread the Gospel by preaching. I want people to become like me, a follower of Christ. Right now, my heart is heavy for the churches of Galatia.
We don’t always realize that God wants us more than we can imagine. I didn’t know how fortunate I was. I am so grateful I now know the truth, and can tell others. It’s not always easy. Some don’t listen, others refuse to believe, and most shun me and my words. That is when I shake off the wrong things, and forgive their ignorance and disobedience. I was once like them, so I understand, but they can’t remain narrow-minded. I cannot mince words, for their salvation is at stake.
I am a perfect example of what living for the Lord is like. People need to see the new me, the real me. My heartfelt prayer is that people will stop living like this, and instead offer themselves to the One True God. My desire is for people to gain eternal life by believing in Jesus. My sentences may sounds simple, but giving up control to an invisible Creator, is frightening and different, and yet we cannot truly exist - and experience healthy and strong lives - without His influence.
