2015-04-04 - Good Friday

Today is the day that Jesus died on the Cross.

An old African-American spiritual captures the events and feelings of the day. The song entitled "Were You There?" describes what Jesus and His followers experienced that day. Jesus was nailed to a rugged cross and lifted into the air. Jesus suffered in agony, as others watched. He paid the price for our sins, by dying on that Cross. The song says that "Sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble."

Do we tremble, today, when we think back to Good Friday? Do we think about what Jesus suffered for us? Today, we think of Jesus' pain and agony. And we await Easter Sunday.
