2015-02-02 - What Would David Say?
When I pray, you answer me and encourage me, by giving me the strength I need. (Psalm 138:3 TLB)
I wanted counsel and to be consoled. So God, I told You what You already knew. I poured out my heart to You, believing You could fix the problem.
My solution did not happen when I thought it should. It took too long for my taste, but thankfully my faith won over impatience.
I thank You, Lord, for coming to my rescue. Life is not carefree for me, though. There is another challenge taking up residence in my thought life. I plan to handle this situation the same as my last predicament. I'll share it with You, trust You to work it out, and obey what You call me to do. It isn't an easy process; perhaps it is for others, but not me. It is the only way. I know what it is like to go on my own, and my decision-making skills are far from superior. They cause more harm than good. I will wait, even if it is difficult. I know You will come to my aid or defense, if warranted.
Thank You, Lord. I praise Your Holy, wonderful, and majestic name!
