2014-05-12 - What Would Solomon Say?
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
Part of parenthood is letting go. Parents try to protect their children and guide them to be ready for the outside world. Then there comes a time when we have to trust they are in God's capable hands.
It's not an easy task when the role of parent changes from nurturer to watcher. But as parents we can live a life free of anxiety and worry. There is no need to doubt the promises of the Lord as I've said, "those who trust in the Lord will prosper." (Proverbs 28:25)
Lord, May our children reach their potential and destiny. Help them not to fail to acknowledge all they can be because they are accepted, forgiven, changed, and favored by You gracious Father.
