2013-05-13 - What Would Habakkuk
Say?
Habakkuk
1:1-5
"Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even
if you were told." (Habakkuk 1:5 KJV)
God, when will You help me? I keep asking, but You don't come to my aid.
How can You ignore me? I know You can hear my voice. How can You keep this
happening, Lord?
Finally God answered me. I'm to keep an eye out, because I will not believe
what God's going to do, unless I see it. There are things in the future,
beyond my scope, that I would have to wait to see and be amazed at.
God foretold me, a mere man and prophet, that the Earth would be filled with
the glory of the Lord. I too can stake my claim on the amazing and undeniable
words of the Lord. God says He is about to do something I won't believe,
unless I see it with my own eyes. I wonder what it could be? I know it will
be something wonderful. I will continue to praise God, for that is where
I find my joy, not in the midst of difficult and overwhelming situations,
but in God. Now He has given me hope and strength to continue. His words
steady me.
Lord, There are visions and hopes You put in me that
haven't come to pass, and I admit I get discouraged. Show me how to make
the waiting period bearable, and not let doubt over take my faith. Let me
be the real me. Please reveal things about myself that I have not believed
in a long time. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
What do you need God's help in?
