2012-12-20 - Newtown

This will be very brief.

Tonight all that comes to my mind is the town of Newtown and the families, relatives and friends affected by the too recent tradgey. For the last couple of hours nothing else breaks through.

Hold them all close in prayer. It reels the heart and mind to consider what these people are going through. This is our job church. We are to help bear the burdens, to be hands and feet with the gospel where possible. Keep the churches in prayer as well. They are on the front line, just as the church continues to be where Hurricane Sandy hit.

Lord Jesus - Keep the hurting people in so many places in our minds as we pray. Raise up Your children to be there with open hearts and ears, and willing hands. Amen.
