2012-10-20 - Prayer

Ephesians 6:18--"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." (NIV)

In this one verse, Paul encourages us to be committed to prayer. We are to be pray "on all occasions." Nothing is too trivial to bring to God in prayer. And all types of prayer are important. Prayer doesn't have to be a long and wordy. Prayer can be a simple, short request to God. Prayer can be a single sentence. The important thing is to talk with God. Paul also tells us to be alert while we pray. And we should pray for each other. Have you spoken with God today?
