Love and Marriage: Bible Style
All beautiful you are, my darling; there is no flaw in you. (Song of Solomon 4:7)
Solomon and his bride do not hide their feelings for each other. Solomon admires her beauty. He claims there is no other woman who can compare. Her eyes are like a dove's, beautiful and pure. Her hair is long and flowing, and she has ideal and sparkling, white teeth. Beloved's lips are scarlet in color, and she is strong and dependable. He also mentions her lovely cheeks and stately neck.
Everything about her is perfect. She just has to look at Solomon, and it ravishes his heart. Her love is better than wine or pleasant spices. Every thought that comes to mind reminds him of her. When the sun rises toward the sky, and the birds are busy singing in their nests, he awakes with a smile, as he speak his wife's name, Beloved.
Beloved also has favorable things to say about her spouse. She comments on what a melodious voice her love has and how wonderful life is that Solomon wants to share it with her. Beloved says he is the finest of all men.
Lord, May I make an effort to describe my loved one the way Solomon and his cherished one do. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
