Chapter 4 Verses 4-9: First, Nebuchadnezzar talked about how prosperous
and comfortable he was at the time he started dreaming again. This may have
been to create a contrast with what is to come. He was a pretty good writer.
And again, the dream caused him anxiety. Actually, he states that he was
terrified - which is quite a confession for the supreme ruler to make to
the people he ruled. But he had learned one thing: He needed to understand
the content of the message God was sending him. But he hadn't learned everything.
He first sent for his wise men. But as usual they couldn't interpret his
dream. Then he sent for Daniel, which I thought would have been Step Number
One.
Oh well - some people are slow learners.
