2006-07-07 - Have No Fear, God Is Here

Psalm 9:1-10

The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Verses 9-10 (NIV)

At first glance, the path is small and narrow. It looks rocky and bleak. But at each step, the path grows larger and smoother like God's love.

God will always be there in times of trouble; He's here right now. Give Him your troubles, and He'll carry you through. Just reach out your hand. He's waiting.

He's always glad to share in your joys or sadness. He guides you when the pressure is great to bear. God is a source of protection. He cares what happens to you. Things may not always go our way, but that is the time to sit down and pray.

Romans 8:28 (NIV) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God.

I am so glad God is a part of my life. I feel I can talk to Him about anything, and that He will listen. He is the first one I chat with as I awaken to the new day. His warm and gentle presence is enough to tackle what life brings our way.

Lord, You mean all things to different people. One thing is the same: a source of love and a sense of forgiveness. Nothing I value on Earth compares to your brilliance and sincerity. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
