Part 1

Zechariah 3:8 Now listen, Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who are sitting in front of you - indeed they are men who are a symbol, for behold, I am going to bring in My servant the Branch.

Today I am going to mix things up a bit and give a first installment of something that I hope will be very useful to you. It is a comprehensive list of the names and titles given in Scripture to Jesus Christ. As far as I know it was last published in 1840. I have edited it some and added some parenthetical helps, but it is mostly just as it was given then. This could be a really great tool to use as a guide to studying the person and nature of Jesus Christ. This is not a traditional devotional, but I hope that it becomes an aid to devotion for you.

This might seem overwhelming, but if you take some time and look up these verses and the context in which they are given, you might have a new insight into Scripture. I was amazed at how much I had missed as I have been reading Scripture. Some of the names attributed to Christ are given in passages that I have simply glossed over in the past. I have failed to recognize the link. I hope you find this first list helpful.
