It's pretty obvious that praise is to be an important element in our Christian
lives, as there are 291 mentions of praise in the Bible (NASB). Today we
will read some passages about the praise of God. I encourage you to do as
I am going to this week, and try to consciously praise Him at least once
each day. All passages are from the NASB.
Psalm 135:1 Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the
Lord.
Psalm 7:17 I will give thanks to the Lord according to
His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most
High.
Psalm 22:22 I will tell of your name to my brothers and
sisters; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you.
Hebrews 2:11 For the one who sanctifies and those who
are sanctified all have one Father. For this reason Jesus is not ashamed
to call them brothers and sisters, saying, I will proclaim your name to my
brothers and sisters, in the midst of the congregation I will praise
you.
Psalm 67:3 Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all
the peoples praise you.
Psalm 117:2 For great is his steadfast love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!
Psalm 150:2 Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him
according to his surpassing greatness!
James 5:13 Are any among you suffering? They should pray.
Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise.
1 Peter 1:6-7 In this you rejoice, even if now for a little
while you have had to suffer various trials, so that the genuineness of your
faith being more precious than gold that, though perishable, is tested by
fire may be found to result in praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ
is revealed.
