We receive several newsletters and devotionals through e-mail. One of the most interesting ones is called: Koenig's International News - http://watch.org . Bill Koenig is well-educated and the articles are well researched, the primary focus being on International news and its relevance to Biblical prophecy and the times we are living in.

Here is a small excerpt from a recent newsletter:

Event in History ”The World Trade Center and Pentagon terror attacks produced the most expensive insurance event in U.S. history ($30 to $50 billion estimate). At the same time, the Bush administration, in cooperation with the Saudis, was completing the most comprehensive plan and message ever to be offered on Israel's covenant land by an American President, and to be presented by Secretary of State Powell to the United Nations General Assembly. Saudi Arabia's Prince Bandar bin Sultan stated he went from being "the happiest man in the world" on Monday night, September 10, to experiencing the worst crisis of his career on September 11. Dreams of a new Middle East peace initiative evaporated. The realization that most of the hijackers were Saudis "fell on me ... like the whole house collapsed over my head," Bandar said later. He couldn't imagine a way to "do more damage or worse damage to Islam or to Saudi Arabia."

It is interesting to read the information he sends, and I have found it very useful for homeschooling as well. I used to think that people who said we were living in the "last days" were a little crazy. But as I learn more from the scripture and I watch the things that are happening, I am more and more convinced that we are in the "last days" the Bible speaks of.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. The Earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up...Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new Earth in which righteousness dwells. 2nd Peter 3:10,13

Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Matthew 24:42-44

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, and unholy without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God -- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.
