"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.
(Mat 13:44 NRSV) The kingdom of heaven is like treasure
hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and
sells all that he has and buys that field.
(1 Pet 3:21-22 NRSV) And baptism, which this prefigured,
now saves you--not as a removal of dirt from the body, but as an appeal to
God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with
angels, authorities, and powers made subject to him.
(Heb 12:22-23 NRSV) But you have come to Mount Zion and
to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable
angels in festal gathering, 23 and to the assembly of the firstborn
who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits
of the righteous made perfect.
(Phil 3:20-21 NRSV) But our citizenship is in heaven,
and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
21 He will transform the body of our humiliation that it may be
conformed to the body of his glory, by the power that also enables him to
make all things subject to himself.
(1 Th 4:16 NRSV) For the Lord himself, with a cry of
command, with the archangel's call and with the sound of God's trumpet, will
descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
(Mat 5:3 NRSV) Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs
is the kingdom of heaven.
(Rev 21:4 NRSV) He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for
the first things have passed away.
(Mat 8:11-12 NRSV) I tell you, many will come from east
and west and will eat with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of
heaven, 12 while the heirs of the kingdom will be thrown into
the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
(Rev 4:2-8 NRSV) At once I was in the spirit, and there
in heaven stood a throne, with one seated on the throne! 3 And

is a rainbow that looks like an emerald. 4 Around the throne are
twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones are twenty-four elders, dressed
in white robes, with golden crowns on their heads. 5 Coming from
the throne are flashes of lightning, and rumblings and peals of thunder,
and in front of the throne burn seven flaming torches, which are the seven
spirits of God; 6 and in front of the throne there is something
like a sea of glass, like crystal. Around the throne, and on each side of
the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind:
7 the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature
like an ox, the third living creature with a face like a human face, and
the fourth living creature like a flying eagle. 8 And the four
living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around
and inside. Day and night without ceasing they sing, "Holy, holy, holy, the
Lord God the Almighty, who was and is and is to come.
