Do you sometimes feel like you simply "can't take it" any more, can't go
on, can't handle something? We sometimes forget that if we are Christians,
we have a limitless supply of strength. All passages today are from the New
Living Translation (NLT).
Ex. 15:1 Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this
song to the Lord:
"I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously;
he has thrown both horse and rider into the sea. 2 The Lord
is my strength and my song; he has become my victory.He is my God, and I will
praise him; he is my father's God, and I will exalt him!
Ps. 22:19 O Lord, do not stay away! You are my strength;
come quickly to my aid!
Ps. 29:1 Give honor to the Lord, you angels; give honor
to the Lord for his glory and strength.
Ps. 49:1 God is our refuge and strength, always ready
to help in times of trouble. 2 So we will not fear, even if
earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.
Ps. 73:26 My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
Phil. 4:13 For I can do everything with the help of Christ
who gives me the strength I need.
2 Tim.1:8 So you must never be ashamed to tell others
about our Lord. And don't be ashamed of me, either, even though I'm
in prison for Christ. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer
with me for the proclamation of the Good News.
Heb. 11:33 By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled
with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths
of lions, 34 quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death
by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became
strong in battle and put whole armies to flight.
James 4:6 He gives us more and more strength to stand
against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say, "God sets himself against
the proud, but he shows favor to the humble."
Rev. 5:11 And they sang in a mighty chorus:
"The Lamb is worthythe Lamb who was killed. He is worthy to receive
power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and
blessing."
