PC-USA1997-11-02 - Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is not just for thanksgiving! It's pretty clear we are to continually give thanks to God for His immeasurable blessings.

(Eph 5:19-20 NKJV) speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(Mat 15:36 NKJV) And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitude.

(Ezra 3:11 NKJV) And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the LORD: "For He is good, For His mercy endures forever toward Israel." Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

(1 Chr 16:4 NKJV) And he appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the LORD God of Israel:

(1 Chr 29:13-14 NKJV) "Now therefore, our God, We thank You And praise Your glorious name. But who am I, and who are my people, That we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, And of Your own we have given You.

(Psa 28:7 NNAS) The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him.

(Psa 26:6-7 NKJV) I will wash my hands in innocence; So I will go about Your altar, O LORD, That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, And tell of all Your wondrous works.

(Psa 50:23 NNAS) "He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God."

(Psa 95:2 NNAS) Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.

(Col 3:17 NKJV) And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
