Devotional - 99-11-06 - Faith
Part 2
From time to time I like to remember what I believe by looking at Scripture.
Most churches and parachurch groups have statements of faith. We as believers
also have our own statements of faith which we gather from hearing the Word
of God. When I used to have a personal webpage I thought it wise to include
what I believed. I think it helps people who read what I write understand
what I have tucked away in the back of my head which I do not always elaborate
on. I hope these Bible verses give you something to tuck away in your memory
and pull out from time to time and like me just remember or share with others.
Sometimes people are very inquisitive about the Christian faith- yet if you
are like me we can not always recall where these things are in our Bibles
-I hope this helps. Here is part 2 of the devotional from last week.
-
I believe in the death burial and the physical ressurection of the Lord
Jesus Christ and in the fact that He ascended bodily into the heavens and
that He is now at the right hand of God as our Mediator Priest and Advocate
John 20 Now on the first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene
early, while it was yet dark, unto the tomb, and seeth the stone taken away
from the tomb. he runneth therefore, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the
other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away
the Lord out of the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him. Peter
therefore went forth, and the other disciple, and they went toward the tomb.
And they ran both together: and the other disciple outran Peter, and came
first to the tomb; and stooping and looking in, he seeth the linen cloths
lying; yet entered he not in. Simon Peter therefore also cometh, following
him, and entered into the tomb; and he beholdeth the linen cloths lying,
and the napkin, that was upon his head, not lying with the linen cloths,
but rolled up in a place by itself. Then entered in therefore the other disciple
also, who came first to the tomb, and he saw, and believed. For as yet they
knew not the scripture, that he must rise from the dead. So the disciples
went away again unto their own home. But Mary was standing without at the
tomb weeping: so, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb; and
she beholdeth two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and one at the
feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. And they say unto her, Woman, why
weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord,
and I know not where they have laid him. When she had thus said, she turned
herself back, and beholdeth Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing
him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou hast borne him hence,
tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith unto
her, Mary. She turneth herself, and saith unto him in Hebrew, Rabboni; which
is to say, Teacher. Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended
unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto
my Father and your Father, and my God and your God. Mary Magdalene cometh
and telleth the disciples, I have seen the Lord; and that he had said these
things unto her. When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day
of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear
of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace
be unto you. And when he had said this, he showed unto them his hands and
his side. The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord. Jesus
therefore said to them again, Peace be unto you: as the Father hath sent
me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and
saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit: whose soever sins ye forgive,
they are forgiven unto them; whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus
came. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord.
But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails,
and put my hand into his side, I will not believe. And after eight days again
his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors
being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith
he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and see my hands; and reach hither
thy hand, and put it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. Thomas
answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Because
thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen,
and yet have believed. Many other signs therefore did Jesus in the presence
of the disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written,
that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing
ye may have life in his name.
Acts 3:12-26 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the
people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this man? or why fasten ye your
eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk?
The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath
glorified his Servant Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied before the
face of Pilate, when he had determined to release him. But ye denied the
Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted unto you,
and killed the Prince of life; whom God raised from the dead; whereof we
are witnesses. And by faith in his name hath his name made this man strong,
whom ye behold and know: yea, the faith which is through him hath given him
this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. And now, brethren, I know
that in ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. But the things which
God foreshowed by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer,
he thus fulfilled. Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that your sins may
be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence
of the Lord; and that he may send the Christ who hath been appointed for
you, even Jesus: whom the heaven must receive until the times of restoration
of all things, whereof God spake by the mouth of His holy prophets that have
been from of old. Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord God raise up
unto you from among your brethren, like unto me. To him shall ye hearken
in all things whatsoever he shall speak unto you. And it shall be, that every
soul that shall not hearken to that prophet, shall be utterly destroyed from
among the people. Yea and all the prophets from Samuel and them that followed
after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days. Ye are the sons
of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with your fathers, saying
unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Unto you first God, having raised up his Servant, sent him to bless you,
in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.
I Corinthians 15:12-28 Now if Christ is preached that
he hath been raised from the dead, how say some among you that there is no
resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither
hath Christ been raised: and if Christ hath not been raised, then is our preaching
vain, your faith also is vain. Yea, we are found false witnesses of God;
because we witnessed of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not
up, if so be that the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised,
neither hath Christ been raised: and if Christ hath not been raised, your
faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also that are fallen asleep
in Christ have perished. If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we
are of all men most pitiable. But now hath Christ been raised from the dead,
the firstfruits of them that are asleep. For since by man came death, by
man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also
in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the
firstfruits; then they that are Christ's, at his coming. Then cometh the
end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he
shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign,
till he hath put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall
be abolished is death. For, He put all things in subjection under his feet.
But when he saith, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he
is excepted who did subject all things unto him. And when all things have
been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to
him that did subject all things unto him, that God may be all in all.
Hebrews 2:9 But we behold him who hath been made a little
lower than the angels, even Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned
with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for
every man.
I John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto
you that ye may not sin. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the
Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
-
I believe in the substitutionary Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ and
in the fact that He by the Grace of God tasted death for every man and that
all must be "born again" -or- be forever lost
John 6:44-69 No man can come to me, except the Father
that sent me draw him: and I will raise him up in the last day. It is written
in the prophets, And they shall all be taught of God. Every one that hath
heard from the Father, and hath learned, cometh unto me. Not that any man
hath seen the Father, save he that is from God, he hath seen the Father.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth hath eternal life. I am
the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they
died. This is the bread which cometh down out of heaven, that a man may eat
thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down out of heaven:
if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: yea and the bread which
I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove
one with another, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Jesus
therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the
flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have not life in yourselves.
He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life: and I will
raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is
drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me,
and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father;
so he that eateth me, he also shall live because of me. This is the bread
which came down out of heaven: not as the fathers ate, and died; he that
eateth this bread shall live for ever. These things said he in the synagogue,
as he taught in Capernaum. Many therefore of his disciples, when the heard
this, said, This is a hard saying; who can hear it? But Jesus knowing in
himself that his disciples murmured at this, said unto them, Doth this cause
you to stumble? What then if ye should behold the Son of man ascending where
he was before? It is the spirit that giveth life; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I have spoken unto you are spirit, are are life. But there
are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they
were that believed not, and who it was that should betray him. And he said,
For this cause have I said unto you, that no man can come unto me, except
it be given unto him of the Father. Upon this many of his disciples went
back, and walked no more with him. Jesus said therefore unto the twelve,
Would ye also go away? Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go?
thou hast the words of eternal life. And we have believed and know that thou
art the Holy One of God.
Hebrews 9:24 For Christ entered not into a holy place
made with hands, like in pattern to the true; but into heaven itself, now
to appear before the face of God for us:
-
I believe in the great evangelistic commission to the disciples of the
Lord Jesus Christ which authorized them and us to make and baptize believers
into the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit
Matthew 28:16-20 But the eleven disciples went into Galilee,
unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him,
they worshipped him; but some doubted. And Jesus came to them and spake unto
them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.
Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching
them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with
you always, even unto the end of the world.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit
is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in
all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
-
I believe that all followers of the Lord Jesus Christ must maintain good
works
Ephesians 4:1-32 I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord,
beseech you to walk worthily of the calling wherewith ye were called, with
all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in
love; giving diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as also ye were called in one hope
of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of
all, who is over all, and through all, and in all. But unto each one of us
was the grace given according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore
he saith, When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, And gave gifts
unto men. (Now this, He ascended, what is it but that he also descended into
the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended
far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave some
to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors
and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering,
unto the building up of the body of Christ: till we all attain unto the unity
of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man,
unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: that we may be
no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of
doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is
the head, even Christ; from whom all the body fitly framed and knit together
through that which every joint supplieth, according to the working in due
measure of each several part, maketh the increase of the body unto the building
up of itself in love. This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that
ye no longer walk as the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind,
being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because
of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their heart;
who being past feeling gave themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all
uncleanness with greediness. But ye did not so learn Christ; if so be that
ye heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus: that ye
put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth
corrupt after the lusts of deceit; and that ye be renewed in the spirit of
your mind, and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in
righteousness and holiness of truth. Wherefore, putting away falsehood, speak
ye truth each one with his neighbor: for we are members one of another. Be
ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give
place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him
labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have whereof
to give to him that hath need. Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your
mouth, but such as is good for edifying as the need may be, that it may give
grace to them that hear. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye
were sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and
anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice: and
be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God
also in Christ forgave you.
Titus 3:1-11 Put them in mind to be in subjection to rulers,
to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready unto every good work, to speak
evil of no man, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all meekness
toward all men. For we also once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving
divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one
another. But when the kindness of God our Saviour, and his love toward man,
appeared, not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but
according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and
renewing of the Holy Spirit, which he poured out upon us richly, through
Jesus Christ our Saviour; that, being justified by his grace, we might be
made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Faithful is the saying,
and concerning these things I desire that thou affirm confidently, to the
end that they who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works.
These things are good and profitable unto men: but shun foolish questionings,
and genealogies, and strifes, and fightings about law; for they are unprofitable
and vain. A factious man after a first and second admonition refuse; knowing
that such a one is perverted, and sinneth, being self-condemned.
-
I believe in the Kingship of Jesus Christ
Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there
followed great voices in heaven, and they said, The kingdom of the world
is become the kingdom of out Lord, and of his Christ: and he shall reign
for ever and ever.
Revelation 19:11-21 And I saw the heaven opened; and
behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon called Faithful and True;
and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. And his eyes are a flame
of fire, and upon his head are many diadems; and he hath a name written which
no one knoweth but he himself. And he is arrayed in a garment sprinkled with
blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in
heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and pure.
And out of his mouth proceedeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite
the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:and he treadeth the
winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty. And he hath
on his garment and on his thigh a name written, KINGS OF KINGS, AND LORD
OF LORDS. And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud
voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid heaven, Come and be gathered
together unto the great supper of God; that ye may eat the flesh of kings,
and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of
horses and of them that sit thereon, and the flesh of all men, both free
and bond, and small and great. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the
earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat
upon the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him
the false prophet that wrought the signs in his sight, wherewith he deceived
them that had received the mark of the beast and them that worshipped his
image: they two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with
brimstone: and the rest were killed with the sword of him that sat upon the
horse, even the sword which came forth out of his mouth: and all the birds
were filled with their flesh.
-
That He must come for His living saints and raise those saints who have
fallen asleep in death
I Corinthians 15:50-55 Now this I say, brethren, that
flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption
inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep,
but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at
the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on
incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this corruptible
shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality,
then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up
in victory. O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?
I Thessalonians 4:13-18 But we would not have you ignorant,
brethren, concerning them that fall asleep; that ye sorrow not, even as the
rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we that are alive,
that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise precede them
that are fallen asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with
a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and
the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we that are alive, that are left,
shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in
the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another
with these words.
-
That He must come with His Saints to execute judgment upon the ungodly
nations
Matthew 25:31-46 But when the Son of man shall come in
his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of
his glory: and before him shall be gathered all the nations: and he shall
separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from
the goats; and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on
the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed
of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of
the world: for I was hungry, and ye gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye
gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; naked, and ye clothed
me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry,
and fed thee? or athirst, and gave thee drink? And when saw we thee a stranger,
and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? And when saw we thee sick,
or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto
them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren,
even these least, ye did it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on
the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire which is
prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry, and ye did not give
me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and
ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and
ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer, saying, Lord, when saw we
thee hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison,
and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily
I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of these least, ye did
it not unto me. And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the
righteous into eternal life.
Jude 14-15 And to these also Enoch, the seventh from
Adam, prophesied, saying, Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of his
holy ones, to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of
all their works of ungodliness which they have ungodly wrought, and of all
the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
-
That He will slay Antichrist send Satan into the pit of the abyss and
establish His earthly reign and Kingdom one thousand years.
Revelation 19:19-20 And I saw the beast, and the kings
of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him
that sat upon the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and
with him the false prophet that wrought the signs in his sight, wherewith
he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast and them that worshipped
his image: they two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with
brimstone:
Revelation 20:1-6 And I saw an angel coming down out of
heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he
laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and
bound him for a thousand years, and cast him into the abyss, and shut it,
and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until
the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be loosed for a
little time. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was
given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that had been beheaded for the
testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as worshipped not the
beast, neither his image, and received not the mark upon their forehead and
upon their hand; and they lived, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years should be finished.
This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in
the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they
shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand
years.
-
That after the earthly reign of one thousand years He will bring all the
wicked to judgment at the Great White Throne at which time their sentence
will be pronounced. They and Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire.
Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord,
Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will
of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord,
did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by
thy name do many mighty works? And then will I profess unto them, I never
knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and
him that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away;
and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, the great and
the small, standing before the throne; and books were opened: and another
book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out
of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up
the dead that were in them: and they were judged every man according to their
works. And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second
death, even the lake of fire. And if any was not found written in the book
of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
-
I believe that Heaven is a place of eternal blessedness and that Hell
is a place of eternal suffering
II Corinthians 5:1-10 For we know that if the earthly
house of our tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, a house
not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens. For verily in this we groan,
longing to be clothed upon with our habitation which is from heaven: if so
be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For indeed we that are
in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened; not for that we would be unclothed,
but that we would be clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up
of life. Now he that wrought us for this very thing is God, who gave unto
us the earnest of the Spirit. Being therefore always of good courage, and
knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord
(for we walk by faith, not by sight); we are of good courage, I say, and
are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the
Lord. Wherefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be
well-pleasing unto him. For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat
of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according
to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Revelation 20:1-15 And I saw an angel coming down out
of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And
he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan,
and bound him for a thousand years, and cast him into the abyss, and shut
it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until
the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be loosed for a
little time.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in
the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they
shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand
years. And when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out
of his prison, and shall come forth to deceive the nations which are in the
four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the
war: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up over
the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and
the beloved city: and fire came down out of heaven, and devoured them. And
the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone,
where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented
day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him
that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and
there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the
small, standing before the throne; and books were opened: and another book
was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of the
things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the
sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead
that were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death,
even the lake of fire. And if any was not found written in the book of life,
he was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein:
for the Lord God the Almighty, and the Lamb, are the temple thereof.
