[PC-USA] 2020-09-29 - Prayer Passages

- - - - - - -

Compiled by Janice Moser

I had been working on another devotional, but I believe that God postponed that one, and instead put it on my heart to share these Bible passages about prayer, as a blessing and reminder from Him.

Matthew 18:20 (NKJV) (Jesus said) For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (This gathering may be done online or over the phone, when unable to do so in person.)

1 Timothy 2:1-4 (ESV) (The Apostle Paul wrote) First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (Berean Study Bible) (God said:) And if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NIV) (The Apostle Paul wrote), Pray continually.
