[CF Devotionals] 2020-02-24 - Living for God

- - - - - -

You can't always tell for sure if someone is living for God. Some may say all the correct 'Christian' terminology, or a person may utter an Amen now and again without belief or knowing what the words mean. The Bible outlines ways to know for sure.

A person who lives for God:

  • Asks God for specific things.
  • Glorifies God's name. (Psalm 86:11-12)

  • Genuinely seeks out God and His desires. (Joshua 24:15, Psalm 119:2)
  • Does not wander from His commandments. (Psalm 119:34)

  • Thinks God's way.
  • Obeys the Lord.

God instructs us, but we have to be open to the instruction.

Lord, I want to experience the life You have for me. Give me discernment in all situations. Show me what is pure, blameless, and excellent. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
