- - - - - -

I admit I have a grumbling heart. The demands, disappointments, and unmet expectations take center stage instead of God's blessings, favor, and love. It's time for a pep talk, to help me start acting like I'm glad to have a Heavenly dad.

My pep talk would list facts about God. I wouldn't focus on current circumstances or unfairness. Rather, I'd remind myself how magnificent and genuine the Lord is. The truth that …

  • God has already delivered me from the strong enemy. (Psalm 18:17)
  • God's mercy flows in wave after wave, on those who are in awe before him. (Luke 1:50)

“I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” (Psalm 16:8 NIV)

  • God is the king of Kings and Lord of lords, and is on my side. (Matthew 9:29)
  • God gives us comfy rest and solitude, when we need it. (Psalm 23:2)
  • God bears our burdens every day! (Psalm 68:19)
May we encourage each other to see all that the Lord has to offer.
