[CF Devotionals] 2020-02-10 - Living for God

- - - - - -

You can't always tell for sure if someone is living for God. Some may say all the correct 'Christian' terminology, or a person may even utter an Amen now and again. That isn't a guarantee he believes or knows what the words mean. The Bible outlines ways to know for sure.

A person who lives for God …

  • asks God for specific things. (Psalm 30:8)
  • genuinely seeks out God with his whole heart. (Psalms 63:1, 119:2)
  • admires, thanks, and glorifies the Lord. (Psalm 86:11-12)
  • views the Lord as his joy and delight. (Psalm 107:9)
  • does not wander from God's commandments. (Psalm 119:34)
Let there be no debate that we are living for the Lord. May we be the role models the world is seeking.

Lord, Things are distracting right now, and I want to place You first. Show me how to do that while getting the demands and requirements of the day done. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
