Adonai is good to all; his compassion rests on all his creatures. (Psalm 145:9 CJB)Can a cat become a Christian? They definitely are drawn to the Lord.
I have a rather skittish orange cat named Sunset. Yesterday, my antisocial feline was actually social!
Sunset the cat always hides when company comes, which is rare, but this time she wasn't shy. She wanted to know my guests. It was my turn to host a ladies' Bible study, and instead of hiding out in another room, Sunset smelled food, shoes, and purses, climbed on chairs, even sat in the leader's lap! Could the cat sense God's power in the room?
Her presence baffled and distracted me. Some women assured me Sunset was not a bother, but when she started to pounce on a visitor's Bible cover, I knew Sunset would not become our group's beloved mascot!
Finally, Sunset found her way to my lap and started to purr. My embarrassment subsided, until a woman's phone beeped, causing the calm Sunset to roam the room again.
I may never know what caused Sunset's connection to this group of Godly women and thus drastically altered her personality, but I do know God's power is real. We are drawn to our Creator, our Heavenly Father. We are God's chosen. We hear and respond to His voice. "I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand." (John 10:27-28 AMP)
Lord, May people not be afraid to follow You and ask for Your guidance. May skeptics be drawn away from the enemy into Your glorious love and forgiveness. In the name of Jesus', Amen!
