As James 1:2-3 tells us, we face many trials in our lives, such as, an illness, the loss of a job, financial difficulties, and the loss of a loved one. Every day, we face new challenges. Life isn't easy. Sometimes we feel like there is no way out.
The second part of the quotation from James informs us that these trials are a means of testing our faith - and therefore developing our perseverance. When we are going through a rough time, sometimes the last thing we think of is that the experience, is helping us to grow in faith. But James wants is to know that God is using these trials to help us mature as Christians. And during these times of testing, we know that we can turn to Christ for strength. Jesus went through the ultimate trial for us. He stands by our side, when we go through the struggles of life. Turn to Him.
