[CF Devotionals] 2014-07-14 - What Would Hosea Say?

Hosea 2:14-15

Not every prophesy I spoke was harsh. The Israelites had turned their backs on God, but He would be compassionate and forgiving. I felt the Lord impress upon me, to prophesy to Israel that when they return to the Lord, He will out pour His mercy.

I told the people that the Lord would "transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope." (Hosea 2:15 NLT) A valley is a low point, a place of in between. It is not an environment in which a sane person would wish to remain. The Lord said this valley isn't a gateway to a more pleasing place; the valley itself is a hopeful place. God can bring hope, even in a valley, in the midst of discomfort or trouble. He is able to do something, whatever situation you are in.

Thank You, God for turning my trouble into a door of hope. I will not remain in this difficulty for long.
