2014-06-30 - What Would Adam Say?
The Lord God planted all sorts of beautiful trees there in the garden, trees producing the choicest of fruit. At the center of the garden, he placed the Tree of Life, and also the Tree of Conscience, giving knowledge of Good and Bad. (Genesis 2:9 TLB)
As mortals, we receive life from God; it's His breath that flows in us. As the first person to ever live on Earth, I got to live in a garden planted by God.
Eden was breathtaking, a garden surrounded by stunning fruit trees, with a flowing river. It required work to keep it looking so ornate and beautiful, though. I was responsible for the upkeep and care of the Garden of Eden. My food came from trees designed by the Lord, except one tree He warned me about eating.
While being in this perfect place and having a strong connection and access to the Lord, God wasn't done creating. He formed animals and birds and later a woman whom I named Eve.
Why God picked me, I am not aware. I was suited for the task; that wasn't the problem. The Lord created me with a desire to be among nature, a detail special to me.
Lord, How unique You made each of us. You thought of every quality, every intricacy. You devoted special time and care in creating me. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
