Before wrapping up this ongoing series on patience, I thought it would be
helpful to look at some verses from the Bible that talk about patience.
Proverb 19:1 - "A man's wisdom gives him patience."
Proverb 14:29 - "A patient man has great understanding,
but a quick-tempered man displays folly." (NIV)
Proverb 15:18 - "A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension,
but a patient man calms a quarrel." (NIV)
Ecclesiastes 7:8 - "The end of a matter is better than
its beginning, and patience is better than pride." (NIV)
Romans 12:12 - "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction,
faithful in prayer." (NIV)
Ephesians 4:2 - "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient,
bearing with one another in love." (NIV)
1 Corinthians 13:4 - "Love is patient, love is kind."
2 Peter 3:15 - "Bear in mind that our Lord's patience
means salvation." (NIV)
How can we demonstrate the "patience of Job" in our lives? How can we remain
faithful during our trials? How can we show our trust in God?
