Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him, and how she had been instantly healed. (Luke 8:47)
In Luke 8, we meet a woman who had been trying to be well, but nothing nor anyone had the cure. This lady spent practically her life savings on physicians and medicine, unfortunately for no gain. It had been 12 long years, suffering with sickness.
One day a crowd had gathered to get a glimpse of Jesus. This woman was one of the many who wanted to be in God's presence, to become healthy again. She didn't want to ask Jesus to restore her with people around; the reason for her healing was a little embarrassing. The woman figured, if she just touched Jesus, she would be healed and Jesus could be on His way, no harm done. She did not want to draw attention to herself, but that is exactly what happened.
As soon as the woman touched Jesus' clothing He felt it and she was cured. The bleeding stopped. She did not own up to touching Jesus' garment, for she wanted to leave unnoticed. Her conscience must have been getting to her, that or she could not hide her actions, so this woman fell before Jesus, trembling as she told Him and everyone listening, that she was the one who touched Jesus. The crowd remained silent as Jesus spoke to this woman, His precious child. He wasn't upset. He gingerly told her to go in peace. After 12 years, she could.
Lord, This is my day for a miracle. You will heal me, and I will be free of this sickness. I want to be whole and healthy. I receive Your healing power right now in the name of Jesus', Amen.
