2008-02-11 - A Collaboration of
Sounds
Psalm
28:1-2,
Colossians
4:2
I'm listening to a Mockingbird perched on top of a tall birdhouse. The
Mockingbird rarely makes a unique noise. He often repeats the sounds heard
from other birds, similar to the sound of a Cheetah, or special effects found
in a movie or video game. There's a range of single chirps, fast notes, and
high octaves.
We have an amazing God who put such melodies into a delicate creature. I'm
sure the Lord never tires of the enjoyable melody. Now the bird's calls are
silent. Perhaps he's wating for a reply, as do I after going to God in prayer.
I want the Lord to shed some light on my concerns. I anticipate that today
will be the chosen moment God decides to clarify things.
Lord, "Listen to my prayer for mercy as I cry out to You
for help, as I lift my hands toward your holy sanctuary." (Psalm 28:2
NLT)
