2007-12-09 - Daniel ~ Encounter with
the Supernaturual Realm
Chapter 10: Part 3 ~ Installment 80
Verses 7-9: In some way, this being's presence was manifest to those
who were with Daniel. They couldn't see him, but they obviously sensed him.
An awareness of this supernatural being caused them to fear, and they flee
the area. They respond with the fear/awe of the creature, in the presence
of the power of God's kingdom.
The delusion of much of the contemporary church, that it is no big deal to
be touched by the supernatural, simply demonstrates most have never felt
its presence. After all, even Daniel, who could see this being, was overcome
by his presence.
And with the coming of this being, we are given another of the few glimpses
in Scripture into the spiritual realm, and the battle that continually goes
on there - a battle that will not be over until the Lord casts Satan and
his minions into the eternal pit.
"But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And
the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur,
where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented
day and night, forever and ever" (Revelation 20:9-10).
As for Daniel, he's overwhelmed by the contact with the servant of the Lord.
He is physically drained by the strain of facing the spirit realm. This is
the effect that God and His have on the sinner, even when that sinner is
forgiven and is His child.
