Questions
I want to ask you a few questions and have you reflect on a couple scriptures.
Do your actions hurt anyone? Does the fun that you have leave scars in the
lives of others? Is hurting someone wrong? Does hurting someone's feelings
take it wrong?
Numbers 5:5-6 (NIrV) - The Lord said to Moses, "Speak
to the people of Israel. Say to them, 'Suppose a man or woman does something
wrong to someone else. Then that person is not being faithful to the Lord.
People like that are guilty.
Psalm 101:3-4 (NIrV) - I won't look at anything that is
evil. I don't want to have anything to do with evil.
Where would you say the pornography and fantasies that hurt your relationships
land in this scheme of things? What are you willing to do?
Verse seven in Numbers contains a simple first step. You must admit, or confess,
you have committed a sin. Confess to God that your sin is hurting yourself
and others. Ask Him to forgive you. Confessing it to those you have hurt
and asking for their forgiveness might help as well.
