Emerges

Esther
4:6-17
Mordecai treated Esther as his own daughter. Mordecai kept his eye on her
in the palace. He knew what the king was looking for in a queen, a beautiful
woman. Esther was more than a lovely face. That is why Mordecai knew Esther
could handle approaching the king in regard to the decree the king recently
signed that would deplete the Jewish race, which included Mordecai and Esther.
Queen Esther faced death on all sides. If she went to talk to the king without
his consent the penalty could be death. Esther also faced her fatality for
all Jews were summoned to die. Esther sent a message back to her cousin Mordecai,
saying she would go talk to the king. Before her confrontation, Esther wanted
Mordecai to gather all the Jews of Shushan and fast for three days and she
and her maids would do the same. God placed Esther in the palace at this
appointed time to put her trust in Him and in turn be the catalyst to save
the Jews.
Lord, Provide me with confidence, instead of this fear that has taken hold
of me. Show me that You don't intend for me to be afraid of confronting people.
In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
