2005-12-01 - Nothing Unclean
Rev 21:25-27 And in the daytime (for there shall be no night there) its gates shall never be closed; 26 and they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it; 27 and nothing unclean and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. (NASB)
I read something today in the paper that horrified and sickened me. I won't go into the details. I won't give the enemy the free press. However, it is sufficient to say that the level the world's culture of death and convenience has lowered itself to is frightening.
I lowered my head and thought, one day this will all be over. All of the foolish arguments, and the jigging madly on the head of a pin to justify whatever humanity wants to do, will cease. The simplicity of dignity and common sense will be returned to its rightful place with the rule of the Lord Jesus.
Ps 14:1-3 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. 2 The LORD looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. 3 All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. (NIV)
There are many who walk in darkness and blindness today, without even realizing their condition. They desperately need our prayers. There is a God Who loves them and waits for them with open arms. But they will not even hear His name. Pray for their hearts to be opened, and thank a merciful God that your heart was broken, and now can learn the freedom of His truth. We are not perfect by a long way, but we have one sure hope in eternity.
Those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life will sit at Christ's feet and learn from Him as Mary did many years ago. In the eternal light of the presence of God, there will be no darkness, and nothing unclean. What a day that will be to look forward to seeing.
Phil 4:8-9 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things. 9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things; and the God of peace shall be with you. (NASB)
