2005-11-25 - For Giving Thanks
Today we are sharing a devotional from a special lady, Angela, who was the
founder of this ministry, back in 1996. Just by word of mouth, she had 80
subscribers! When schedules no longer allowed her to send devotionals, several
of us stepped in to keep the ministry going, sending them daily and putting
up and maintaining a website. But none of this would be here without Angela,
God's willing vessel. Here is what Angela has to say about Thanksgiving:
I feel that Thanksgiving is not the only time we should give thanks to our
Father which is in heaven. We should always give thanks. Here in the thanksgiving
season, we should give thanks for His Son whom he sent in the world to bring
peace and comfort, and to die for our sins so that we have eternal life.
Ps. 100:0- 5 Psalm 100 A psalm. For giving thanks.
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his
people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks
to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues
through all generations.
Eph. 5:20 always giving thanks to God the Father for
everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Col. 1:12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified
you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
Col. 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed,
do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father
through him.
Eph. 1:16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you,
remembering you in my prayers.
May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving and may we all remember to give thanks
for the most precious gift we have.... His Son.....Jesus is the reason for
the season.... Lets remember to Thank Him for the gift of eternal life and
the many gifts He has blessed us with.....
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!!!!!!
Keep Looking up,
Angela
