Greetings friends, in the name of Jesus our Lord, from whom all life flows.
I want to get personal with you, so I want to share something with you that
has happened in my life that hasn't been fun - but through it, God has been
glorified.
I have a learning disability, along with being blind in one eye. I also have
Epilepsy, and I have had a cerebellar brain tumor that was three inches long,
and one inch in diameter, removed. It is clear that I have had, and still
have, problems in my life. My problems - though severe as they sound - are
not that severe, because God provided for me and took care of me, to keep
me alive. Yet he allowed me to have these problems in my life. There were
times I was mad at God for allowing me to be like I am. However, once I learned
that God had a specific purpose in my life, I realized that He allowed these
problems to happen for several reasons.
There was another person in the Bible who had some disability that made it
hard for him to do the job that God requested of Him. His name is Moses.
We know that Moses met God at a burning bush that was not being consumed.
God told Moses that he wanted Moses to go to Egypt and tell Pharoah to let
God's people go. Moses said to God that he had a problem with speech, and
told God that he should send someone else. God chose Moses as God's ambassador,
in spite of Moses' speech impediment -- and God told Moses that he would
sent Aaron, Moses' brother, to speak for Moses. God said to Moses that He
would be with Moses when He went.
Well, God called me to ministry, to seek out and share with lost people about
the free gift and love of God, as he gave His son Jesus Christ to pay for
the sin debt that we owe and can't pay. I told God that I have all of these
problems, and that I can't do it. Still, God chose me to be His servant and
ambassador to the lost, whom He is seeking to save. He told me that he would
send the Holy Spirit to be my comforter, and that he would come and live
inside of me. He said that the Holy Spirit would speak through me. And He
said that He would be with me.
As Moses was obedient to God, he (Moses) was blessed, and though Moses was
disobedient at one point, God did use him to free the Israelites and bring
them to the place where Moses was able to see the land that the Israelites
would be blessed to receive from God. Moses received blessings as he was
obedient to God.
I also receive blessings daily, as I am obedient to God to share His love.
I am imperfect as Moses was, and yet a loving God chose me to be His
representative to all lost people in my reach, who would believe in Jesus.
1 Timothy 4:7-8 says to "Have nothing to do with godless
myths, and old wives' tales; rather train yourself to be godly. For physical
exercise is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding
promise for both the present life and the life to come."
This basically means: Don't listen to the lies of Satan, read your Bible,
talk to God in prayer, preach and teach these things to others publicly.
Be diligent to do these things to protect yourself from the evil one, and
be ready, at every opportunity, to share God's love with everyone you meet.
I encourage you to be obedient to God when He calls you, and train yourself
to be Godly, so that you can run the race set before you, to love all people
by sharing Jesus Christ with them. You will receive blessings as you are
obedient to love others in Christ's name.
I love you, friends.
God Bless You
