WANTED: The Lamb of God Must be able to make wise decisions. Only unselfish people should apply.

John 1:29 The next day, John saw Jesus coming toward him. John said, 'Look, God's Lamb who will take away the sins of the world.' (International English)

Check out John's reaction when he saw Jesus in a different light, when he saw Jesus as the man who would die for the world's sins, including his, including yours.

I've seen Jesus walk a million of times. Why should this time be any different? It was. Seeing Jesus then showed me all that He is: the Lamb of God. How powerful a thought that is, and yet so easy to forget. Why would Jesus agree to be a sacrifice for all my shortcomings? Why would He want to? He had a choice.

It wasn't exactly a fair trade. God's Son left Heaven to go to Earth, trapped in a human body. He did this for the love He had for me, you and every person who calls this world home.

Lord, By sending Jesus to die in my place, I know You could not love me any stronger. There are times when I don't show You love in return. I let people or things get in the way of telling You how thankful I am that You loved me enough to save me. Continue to guide me in the decisions I make and the places I go. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
