2002-12-21 - What You Get Paid
Part 3
If you have never trusted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior,
then now is the time to do it.
If you believe that Jesus died on the cross to take your place, to pay for
your sin debt, and that He rose again from God's resurrection power and you
wish to receive the gift of God, eternal life in Christ Jesus, then pray
the following prayer.
Dear Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner. "Lord, I know that no work
which I do will ever save me from my sin. Lord, thank you for dying on the
cross to pay for my sin so that I would have life in you. Please forgive
me for my sin, and save me from myself. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and
change me from the inside out. Make me the person you want me to be. Amen."
If you believe
Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit
Jesus is literally God in the flesh, manifested in the form of man
(He is both God and man).
that He lived a sinless life,
He was crucified on a cross for claiming to be God (He was put on trial
for who he was, not for what he had done),
He died and took upon himself your sins as a substitutionary sacrifice
for your sin. (As the ram was provided by God to be the substitutionary sacrifice
for Isaac.)
That he was laid in the grave for three days (which is a time to show
that someone is legally dead).
You believe that God resurrected Him from the dead (with God's resurrection
power which authority was given to Christ) to provide for all who believe
and accept Him as their Lord and Savior by faith (belief) and have asked
him to forgive you, save you and change you.
Then believe that you have been saved by His Grace through faith in Jesus
Christ, and boast not in your works to save you, but boast in the Love of
God, which He gave, and you received - that you have been saved.
Now being saved is not the end all; rather, it is the beginning of a new
life. In this new life, you must be fed and discipled by the food of God's
Word as an infant, so that you can mature into a living, breathing, growing,
replicating and healthy believer.
It is important for you to do as Timothy says in 1 Timothy 4:7-8 7.
Have nothing to do with Godless myths, and old wives tales. Rather train
yourselves to be Godly. For physical exercise is of some value, but Godliness
has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life, and
the life to come.
You should join and fellowship with a Bible-believing Church. Celebrate with
your church, in remembrance of the work that Christ has done to save you,
and thank Him for it. You should devote yourself to prayer and reading of
Gods Word.
God Bless you, my friends.
