[PC-USA] 2002-02-15 - Someone Believes in You

Have you ever heard the words, "you will never amount to anything," "you are too stupid to do that," "you aren't good enough to succeed" etc.? If so, you are in good company. One of Einstein's teachers said that he was stupid, and a talent agent dismissed Clint Eastwood with these words: "You have a chip on your tooth, your Adam's apple sticks out too far and you talk too slow." (sic)

Many of us are blessed to have families and friends who believe in us. But regardless, there is one Person who always believes in each one of His children. God not only knows what you are capable of doing; it is He who has gifted you and He who will provide everything you need to do it - the talent, the strength, the wisdom, the opportunities. It's a win-win proposition!

Philippians 4:13 (NASB) I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Paul didn't say we could do all things except those that are very difficult. He said simply that we can do "all things."

God has a purpose for every single one of us. You are not stupid. You can amount to something. I challenge you to ask God to show you what He wants you to do, and to give you the faith to believe He will accomplish it through you.
