Israel
Messiah: His Final Call to Israel Series, Part 26
It is sad to see war raging against Israel. It is truly sad to see some who
truly believe Israel is to blame for no peace in the Mideast. There are now,
as there were in the past, many anti-Semitic people who can say anything
they want to about peace, yet condone killing Jews. Sadly again, these
anti-Semites will continue the quest to their own destruction, until one
day, they will have to face the power of the Greatest Jew of all, the Messiah,
Jesus of Nazareth. The Bible, through the Prophets, details how, why, where
and when the Messiah will act on behalf of the faithful remnant of Israel.
You and I can pray for that group even though we only read about them and
by faith know they are (YET) to be rescued by God in a day (YET) to come
in the future. In fact, we can share these truths with our Jewish friends,
who may reject them now, but someday may see that the events told them from
the Holy Scriptures regarding them are happening before their very eyes.
It will be very difficult for honesty to not prevail in the hearts of those
who seek the truth when faced with so many facts, as they unfold in life
as they were written so long ago on the sacred pages. Pray for the peace
of Jerusalem, and may the Lord bless you for it.
In the last days, at the end of the Great Tribulation or what is also know
as the Time of Jacob's Trouble, we may be certain that Israel will face vast
persecution. A great war, which different prophets speak of, will be fought.
This war (in a manner of speaking) will be fought to stop all wars. Zechariah
speaks of this war in Zechariah Chapter 12:1-6. Also, light is thrown upon
this war in Revelation 16:12-16. We may believe that Satan will marshall
all his subjects for this mightiest of all conflicts, "the war of the great
day of God, the Almighty."
Zechariah 12:1-6 The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning
Israel. Thus saith Jehovah, who stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth
the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him: Behold,
I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling unto all the peoples round about,
and upon Judah also shall it be in the siege against Jerusalem. And it shall
come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for
all the peoples; all that burden themselves with it shall be sore wounded,
and all the nations of the Earth shall be gathered together against it. "In
that day," saith Jehovah, "I will smite every horse with terror, and his
rider with madness, and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and
will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness. And the chieftains
of Judah shall say in their heart, 'The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength
in Jehovah of hosts their God.' In that day will I make the chieftains of
Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves,
and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and
on the left. And they of Jerusalem shall yet again dwell in their own place,
even in Jerusalem.
Revelation 16:12-16 And the sixth poured out his bowl
upon the great river, the river Euphrates, and the water thereof was dried
up, that the way might by made ready for the kings that come from the sunrising.
And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of
the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits,
as it were frogs: For they are spirits of demons, working signs, which go
forth unto the kings of the whole world, to gather them together unto the
war of the great day of God, the Almighty. (Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed
is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they
see his shame.) And they gathered them together into the place which is called,
in Hebrew, Har-magedon.
The combined forces of the armies of the world, backed up and energized by
the power of Satan, could wipe out the small forces of Israel at one stroke.
But God says through His Word, that this is not the path history will take.
The Lord, by His omnipotence, will energize the faithful remnant so that
the weakest one will become as David, the mightiest warrior of Jewish history,
"and the house of David shall be as God."
Zechariah 12:7-9 Jehovah also shall save the tents of
Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the
inhabitants of Jerusalem be not magnified above Judah. In that day shall
Jehovah defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And he that is feeble among
them at that day shall be as David. And the house of David shall be as God,
as the angel of Jehovah before them. And it shall come to pass in that day,
that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Both Jeremiah and Isaiah refer to the miracles of divine assistance and
deliverance extended to the remnant by the Lord in the end time.
Isaiah 40:27-31 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest,
O Israel, My way is hid from Jehovah, and the justice due to me is passed
away from my God? Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard? The everlasting
God, Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither
is weary; there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to
the faint; and to him that hath no might he increaseth strength. 30Even the
youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31but
they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up
with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk,
and not faint.
Jeremiah 23: 7-8 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith
Jehovah, that they shall no more say, As Jehovah liveth, who brought up the
children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; 8but, As Jehovah liveth, who
brought up and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country,
and from all the countries whither I had driven them. And they shall dwell
in their own land.
Ever since the deliverance of Israel from Egyptian bondage to the present
time, the prophets, the psalmists, and the singers of Israel have spoken
most glowingly and enthusiastically concerning the mighty works and the
miraculous deliverance which God performed on behalf of Israel. The very
atmosphere in which Israel moved at the time of the Exodus was supercharged
with the supernatural. No other period is comparable to it. Nevertheless,
in the final scene of the drama of this Age, the miraculous element performed
by God on behalf of the Chosen People will reach an all-time high. The miracles
of protection and deliverance will be so mighty and powerful that they will
eclipse even those wrought at the time of the Exodus, so that the people
of Israel shall say:
Jeremiah 23:7-8 "Therefore, behold, the days come," saith
Jehovah, "that they shall no more say, 'As Jehovah liveth, who brought up
the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.' But as Jehovah liveth,
who brought up and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the North
country, and from all the countries whither I had driven them. And they shall
dwell in their own land."
The time, I believe, draws near to when God will establish peace in Israel.
Today you and I accept by faith what we have seen in the Bible. For some
they will not accept what we have seen until it happens before their eyes.
May we bring this message in love and with haste, to those who would listen
but may not turn right away?
Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out
of my mouth: It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that
which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
In His Service,
Rick & Sandy
